Friday & Saturday, Aug 27th & 28th, 2010 - Hudson Valley Overnight with CIA & West Point
This is an overnight trip for all senses. We explore the sense of sight many times startign with a visit to Lyndhurst Castle and the sounds of the trickling water and the touch of nature. We will then tantalize your senses of smell and taste with a spectacular 3-course dinner at the Culinary Institute of America's Ristorante Caterina de' Medici. Prior to this wonderful dinner, we will tour the school grounds. We will stay overnight in the Valley. The next morning will take us to the West Point Military Academy for a 2-hour tour featuring the chapel*, trophy point (and the million dollar view), the cemetary, the museum and other sights of interest. You will have time to have lunch on your own and visit the museum in town. We may offer a few extra surprises too. cost: $294 pp double.
Sunday, Aug 29th, 2010 - Maryland Renaissance Festival
The Maryland Renaissance Festival is a recreation of a 16th century English village. The village is named Revel Grove, and is set on a beautiful 25-acre wooded site with 85 acres of free parking. The village consists of craft and food booths, five pubs, ten major stages, a Jousting Arena and lots of games. The Maryland Renaissance Festival is a perfect family outing.
